Overview

We’ll start bright and early, leaving Hurghada behind as we drive through the desert towards Luxor. The journey itself is quite an experience – you’ll see the landscape change as we approach the Nile Valley.

Our first stop will be the Valley of the Kings. This is where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom chose to build their tombs, hidden away in a desolate valley. We’ll explore several of these incredibly preserved tombs, with their vivid wall paintings that still look fresh after thousands of years. I’ll share stories about the pharaohs buried here and the fascinating process of mummification. and Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari,

Next, we’ll visit the Colossi of Memnon – two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. They’ve been standing guard over the west bank of Luxor for over 3,400 years!

After a quick lunch break, we’ll cross to the east bank to visit the awe-inspiring Karnak Temple complex. This is the largest religious building ever constructed, and walking through its towering columns in the Great Hypostyle Hall is an experience you’ll never forget. I’ll guide you through the different sections, explaining the symbolism and history behind this incredible place.

Throughout the day, I’ll be there to answer all your questions and make sure you’re getting the most out of each site. It’s a long day, but I promise it’ll be packed with unforgettable sights and stories. By the time we head back to Hurghada, you’ll have a much deeper appreciation of ancient Egyptian civilization and the incredible monuments they left behind.

Remember, it’s a budget tour, so we’ll be moving at a good pace to fit everything in. But don’t worry – I’ll make sure you have time to take photos and soak in the atmosphere of each place we visit. It’s an amazing way to experience the highlights of Luxor, even if you’re short on time!

BUDGET Day Tour to Luxor from Hurghada

Welcome to your budget-friendly day tour from Hurghada to Luxor, the world's greatest open-air museum! Today, we'll journey back in time to explore some of ancient Egypt's most awe-inspiring monuments.

The magnificent Karnak Temple Complex is the largest religious building ever constructed. As we walk through the Great Hypostyle Hall, marvel at the 134 massive columns, each carved with intricate hieroglyphs. This vast temple, built over 2,000 years ago, was dedicated to the god Amun-Ra and showcases the power and wealth of ancient Thebes.

After a quick lunch break, we'll cross to the West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings. This ancient necropolis houses the tombs of Egypt's most powerful pharaohs, including the famous tomb of Tutankhamun. The vivid colors and detailed artwork in these tombs have survived for over 3,000 years!
